Just wanted to answer your comment about my picot-edge socks--I can't get Blogger to cough up your e-mail address so I thought I'd come over and pay you a visit. :-) These days I tend to do 6 rounds before and after the yo-k2tog row. I used to do 7, but I got impatient. ;-) And if the yarn is thicker than classic sock weight, I might do only 4-5 rounds. It can also depend on the striping sequence of the yarn--if I want my picots to be a certain color, I'll fudge the numbers to make it work. Hope that's helpful! :-)
