Oops

The only pair of nonwashable handknit socks I have felted in the wash. Whoops. They are shown next to a sock that fits me. My need for superwash sock yarn is why I am not too upset that I can't get my hands on Sunshine Yarns' striping Gryffindor socks. She is starting to carry some superwash yarn, though.

I am in love with Alison's Brazil--or is it Brasil?--socks, but the yarn is only available in Germany. I haven't even spotted them on eBay, though the Toronto socks are there.

I thought Melissa got you the Gryffyndor yarn?

She was able to get it for me to make into socks for her, and it turned out that what she got was a varigated yarn and not self-striping, but it was too late to fix. The site seems to make a clearer designation between the two now.

I've been meaning to write that I received the socks! Despite them not striping as they should have had I bought the right yarn, I still love them. And they fit perfectly. Now to carefully wash them without too much bleeding...
